What Should You Expect From Your Distributor?
Here’s What You Can Expect from Us
Education that works for you.
All of our education; technical, professional development, and products, is designed
to help you make more money.
- Our technical education gives you practical cutting, coloring and foiling techniques that works for your clients.
- Our professional development education teaches you how to deal with clients. We focus on the foundational principle of what makes you successful; which is getting clients to return and send their friends!
- Our product education teaches you how to prescribe products to clients based
upon what’s good for them. We always show you how to use less product, especially
color, not more.
Excellent Service
We pride ourselves on dealing with one client at a time and making it easy to
do business with us. We provide a monthly business building on-line newsletter.
Our goal is to keep you happy while we’re helping you to grow!
Reasonable Prices
Our prices aren’t inflated just so we can provide “free” back bar or education,
that’s how we keep our color prices low. There’s very little that’s actually
free.
Non-Diverted Products
Our pledge to you is to carry only non-diverted products. We believe it’s the
honorable and fair thing to do. If you’re going to support us, we’re going to
support you!
No Restocking Fees
There are no restocking fees as long as products are returned in good condition
within 6 months, any price stickers you’ve put on are removed and a copy of the
original invoice is included.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
Everything we offer; technical education, professional development and products
come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We’ll make you happy or return your
money.
A Business Partner
We know if we do our job well and help you grow, we’ll grow. We can help with
all aspects of your business.
We know your success is our success. You can always call us with technical or
business questions.
Here’s What Salons Said They Want
We asked salon owners & stylists that are clients or are signed up
for our on-line newsletter for their thoughts on this topic. Because of the
large number of responses we weren’t able to print everyone’s ideas. Thanks
for everyone that participated!
Knowledge of the product
I feel as every distributor should have knowledge of the product they sell.
Tell me why the product is good for the hair and what to expect from the product.
Most of the time I hear, “This a new great product. Here smell it. Isn’t is
great!”
Appreciation for our customers and that we run a business
Sometimes rep’s will just walk into my salon without making an appointment
and want to talk to me when I’m with a client. They should call first and find
a good time to talk.
Check in from time to time
Call and see how the products are selling and if we have any questions. Maybe
call with some new ideas of how to deliver the product to our clients.
Great Service
Provide friendly, honest answers to questions promptly. Return phone calls
quickly. Resolve our problems with products, shipments, etc.

Don’t be "pushy"
Pushy makes me "push" back. Have integrity (do what you say you're
going to do, when you say you're going to do it). No unexpected visits that
interrupt servicing our clients (make an appointment).
Products that improve the well being of salon life both for client and staff.
Air purifiers, sterilizing and cleaning ideas that are earth friendly and don't
just mask smells. Salon pollutants are bad for owners, staff and clients. We
are in that environment for hours with dirty hair, sprays, and chemicals...lets
make it as healthy as we can.
Non-Diverted Products
Distributors that carry products my clients can buy in many other stores aren’t
welcome in my salon. I don’t understand why salons carry products their clients
can buy anywhere.
Help me grow my business
I could tips and pointers on how to get my staff to talk to clients about products.
Don’t ignore me because I’m small
I have a small salon (3 stations) and I don’t feel nearly as important as the
big salons my rep services. I could use a little more attention. Maybe I’d
do better.
Offer something different
Soma is a great new product. It’s “green”, has gentle ingredients and is pH
balanced. The trend is towards products that are not formulated with ingredients
that are really harmful or contain irritants. I would like to see more. And,
anything in colors that can be offered that are also healthier and contain
less toxic ingredients.
